An Amateur's Point of View

Starting today 1st of January, 2010, I'm going start my New Year's resolution - a photo a day for a total of 365 days. I've seen people trying to make their own photo project. Some succeeded, some fail to keep up. Hopefully, I can keep this up till the end of the year. Probably, if I miss taking photo on a certain day and forget to post them up here, I would just add a photo or two to replace that day. I know this would break the rule of taking one photo a day but I just feel that the rule should be broken anyway. (grin). Here goes. My first photo for the first day of the year would be a photo of me. I took it when I was helping my mum in the paddy field. There wasn't any thing to make it the same eye level of me but there a long bench with a stone where I placed my camera and set it on self-timer. Voila! I was able to get a photo of me. Although it wasn't that nice but I like it anyway.

About 2 weeks ago I just finished class when some friends wanted me to take their pictures. At first I was reluctant since I wanted to hurry back to my hostel. However their enthusiasm made me to take out my gear from my camera bag and snap a couple pictures of them. There were two of them so I just snap a couple or two of their photos and showed it to them. Within a few days, I uploaded them up in my laptop (FYI, my laptop's not that great and it's only for doing something normal..is it?).. So I tried editing them. To my knowledge the pictures look great. Thanks to the power of Adobe Photoshop... The look great. I wish I could print them out and show them to my friends.. In the end, I just showed them in my album in Facebook.. I don't have the money to print them out on a big scale.. Nevertheless, they did great in doing some posing for my collection... Thanks guys!
