Suzika and Roehwell Wedding

Image
Usually the end of May and early June used to be the peak for most people to get married but occasionaly every month of the year there would be weddings happening here and there. Of course during this low peak of wedding season, most people are away in their own work or study place. Recently, my bestfriend got married to her soulmate, who's also my family close friend especially my sister and my mom's. They picked the date July 7, 2013 to tie the knot. The bride's brother knows me and that I love photography as much as he do. Since he will be marching together with the rest of the family, he asked me to help take pictures for his sister who was going to get married that day. I only had my Pentax but there were some friends who were present to take pictures as well. One of them offered me to use the Nikon camera attached to a Speedlight flashgun and the Tokina 11-16mm wide angle lens. Now I don't usually have experience using camera with wide lens because I just never ...

Celebrating Mum & Dad's Wedding Anniversary

Image
Yeah.. that's it. My parents celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary this year on April 21st. I forgot all about it till my mum mentioned it to me that they are going to KK. I wanted to hug them but sometimes I'm not the kind of person that would come up to someone I love and hug or kiss them since I'm not really used to showing affections. However, deep in my heart I long to show them and sharing the joy of celebration. Anyway, just before lunch time we would go into our family car and drive ourselves to the nearest sophisticated restaurant we can find. We found it kilometers away in the town of Inanam. There was a newly opened Pizza Hut shop. Since we haven't been into one for months (or years maybe) and the smell of eating fresh baked pizzas is so invigorating. (Is that the right word?) Just thinking about food right now makes me hungry. I wish there's a pizza right in front of me right now. Hah! We had a great time together. Although only 4 of us in the fami...

Wedding websites and blogs

Image
Recently this week, I'm so into blogging. Just reading every single articles that I found in people's blog about their personal lives, their work and their love for photography. I just love reading their blog and looking at the pictures they took mesmerize me to look for more photos. I just love those portraits and wedding photos they took. Never in my life I've been so passionate about this. The trill of learning from professionals is a lifelong experience. Although, I can only see it from the window of the World Wide Web, I can still feel good, what more if I were to meet those people face to face. I must say they sure are good people.  The more I see, read and look at their blog or website makes me want to improve myself. I must know how to market myself to the world. I've been into photography I guess for all my life. My dad owns some 35mm film SLR camera back before he was younger. As a child, I'm so fascinated by clicking the shutter on the camera back then....

Photos of the Day: Kendry and Helda's Wedding. 29.12.2009

Finally, I became an official wedding photographer for my aunt's wedding. I didn't realize it until she mention it to me a few weeks before the actual wedding. This is my first to actually photograph a wedding from the beginning till the end. I know that I don't really have much camera accessories but I do have the experience before as well as reading and looking for inspirations from other photographers out there. I'll try to add more soon. Since, it's my first there aren't any outdoor photo session. I tried my best to capture all the beautiful moments.

Day 16: Arnold & Clarice's Wedding

Image
December 27, 2009 marks the day they tie the knot. I have known both Arnold and Clarice since primary school. Arnold is considered my uncle since my grandma and his father are cousins. Does that mean I'm related to them? I guess so. They have been best friends since primary school. Everyone at campus knew they were a couple. I'm happy to see that they have finally married to each other. It has been such a joyous occasion to finally document their wedding, although, I'm not their official photographer. Have a wonderful journey you two. May God bless your marriage.

Events During the Weekends

Image
Seems like I haven't posted anything during the past 3 weeks! I was busy doing stuffs that I prefer doing instead of putting something on this blog. Well, here it is. On the 19th and 20th of December I got the chance to join in a choir reunion concert and also a friend's wedding. On that Saturday, I joined together with my friends who are members to a choir called In Unity. We were having our 2nd Reunion Concert on the 18th and 19th. All of my friends who used to be in the choir sang together with us. During those two days, we went to Gaur SDA Church, Kota Belud, Pioneer Memorial Church, Tamparuli and Menggatal SDA Church, Menggatal. We had lots of fun singing together as well as meeting other church members. Although we were tired but we did enjoy the time we spent together. Debbie and Ezra smiling at the camera. Our choir pianist, Samuel.. He really played well.. Elvina smiling for camera while Ezia and Raiya do their on act.. Group photo of us in Gaur SDA Church......
