Songkran Festival Weekend (First Day)

Oh yay! I'm having the best experience in my life right now in Thailand. For those who don't know about this event see here. As you know, Songkran festival is like New Year but it's in Thailand as well as the countries like Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. It's the best water festival ever. Most people would probably go to temples and be with their families. The best part of course is the water fight. You can go and have fun with people just right in the streets! I've experience both water fights in Laos and Thailand. In Thailand it's much safer compare to Laos. Although the pain of getting hit by water in the face is minimal. In Laos people throw small packet of cold colored water. Imagine if you're at the back of truck going fast and you got hit in the face. You know how painful it is. Good thing in Thailand especially where I am right now it's OK. People just splash you with water of shoot you using water gun. Of course you have to play it safe and don't be angry. If you don't like it, just walk away and say no about getting wet but then you sure will get wet even you try to make them go away. Enjoy your weekend people!
